 LT Prop question
I tried searching and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, but wanted to know can you put a GD 9x7 prop on a MBLT? Its time for a new prop and having had a few different brands GD seems to be the stoutest and best prop for longevity in my application. Open to opinions of other manufacturers as well. Thanks in advance!

 Re: LT Prop question
If it isn't threaded the same, you can always have it rebroached.

 Re: LT Prop question
I used a MB Tiger prop, a GD prop, and a Ron Hill Marine prop on my last motor, a 27 HP MB LT. They all worked well. Even though the motor was rated for a 9x7, I actually ran better with the 9x6. The GD prop actually gained a little speed after some wear, Tiger was good but sheared it on some coral rock, the Hill prop had less wear than the other two.

 Re: LT Prop question
Yes it should work. Also take a look at Backwater and their props.

 Re: LT Prop question
Thank you, WI WATERFOWL! I omitted Backwater, I am the proud owner of a new Swomp motor, and I bought a second prop from them! Stout and can't beat their prices!

 Re: LT Prop question
Wow just looked at them and 150 for a backwater prop vs 230 or more for any of the others out there? Pretty easy decision....

 Re: LT Prop question
If you're asking if they will fit then yes, they will. You just have to be careful what size motor you have. I think go-devil started putting more cup in their props and they are now rated differently than before. I think they only put a 9x7 on 25hp now and a 9x6 on 23hps.

 Re: LT Prop question
My 23hp MBLT runs best getting 3750 rpms with 9x5 backwater prop 17+ mph. Tried an old/ new condition BPS 9x6 with crazy cup and lost 500 rpms. If you were closer to SOFLO i'd let you try the 9x6 i have.

 Re: LT Prop question
He is a lil FYI: BPS is a 9.5" prop GD is a 9" prop BW is a 8.5" prop
I run a MBLT 29hp on a GD 18x44.... Here are the props I run: BPS: 9x6 (aggressive cup/mud) BW: 9x7 (less cup/flooded timber) GD 9x6 (best all around)

 Re: LT Prop question
Thanks for the info ninja! I put a tape to my current one and, let's just say it's time to replace it probably looking at going the 9x7 route from BW seems to be the best for my needs
