Post 2009 Mud Buddy 35
Hey guys new to MMT! I recently came across a 2009 35hp MB for sale for the right price. However i seen some one said its not a 2009 on the post. With that being said i was wondering if you guys could help me identify the motor. I only have one pic as of now. The guy is going to get more to me today. It will be going on a 1756 MST.

That's an old frame, no clutch......probably had a different powerhead on it when it started life. Transom mount looks to be mismatched also.

Would you say it's worth 1800$? Has new prop, new bearings. 160 and 175psi during compression test. Guy says it has a stage 1 or 2 kit in it along with a exhaust. Also can a clutch be added to this motor?

Well, if the guy selling it didn't know if it was a stage 1 or 2, that may have been a red flag to research a little more. It has a stock muffler and carb, so at best, it has a cam and head work. (Doubtful) Looks pretty "used". I'll leave it at that. And I'm not familiar with mb,but I'd imagine it would be very time and parts intensive to add a clutch, if it's even possible with the frame configuration

the guy's lying to you about the year of the motor, and the mods on the motor.
Leave that alone.
You are more than likely buying someone elses junk.
It looks used and abused too
