 Automatic lubricator
Wanted to see if anyone could give some insight into the automatic lubricator on a go devil. I can't figure if I'm supposed to just fill the lubricator compartment up or if I have to have a certain grease gun tip to get it actually inside the tail. I tried calling go devil and all the lady said was to not grease the lubricator seal (which I knew) then offered to send me a manual. Do you simply fill the entire thing with lubricant or do you need a needle styled grease tip to force it into the long tail? Thanks a ton

 Automatic lubricator
The shaft should have a grease fitting about halfway down the shaft below the lubricator.
You pump the grease into here and any overflow pushes into the lubricator. As soon grease starts to overflow into the lubricator, stop. You're done.
Should only take 3-4 pumps usually. If it consistently takes 6-7, you probably need to replace seals and bushing.

 Re: Automatic lubricator
Is the fitting separate from the reservoir that is near the engine? When I bought it I was told to put the lubricant in the reservoir with the spring

 Re: Automatic lubricator
Don't put it directly into the lubricator. There is a separate fitting. The go devil manual is on there website and illustrates it.

 Re: Automatic lubricator
He doesn't want to look at the manual they offered to send him. He'd rather have someone explain to him what's in the manual, which has been done multiple times now. Just let him fill the lubricator like he wants to.

 Re: Automatic lubricator
No no no.... Just fill that lubricator itself, don't worry about that silly grease fitting. I'm sure it's just there for looks anyway.

 Re: Automatic lubricator
Damn Zerk on the shaft should fill the lubricator, if not then pump the zerk full and then push down on top of lubricator and twist slightly to remove the top.
