What kind of switches for lights?
Currently using contura switches on my lights and bilge. Not sure but blue sea, I believe. They face front and get water in them regularly. The water completes the circuit and the lights come on dimly sometimes. Once they dry out, off they go. I know it's the switch because when I replace them the lights go off. Any recommendations on a different type or brand of switch I can use to prevent this? I had the same issue with toggle switches even when covered with switch boots. Thanks in advance.

Re: What kind of switches for lights?
I ordered Amarine rocker switches from amazon and no problems as of yet. I have sprayed my console with a water hose also.

Re: What kind of switches for lights?
I know you may not be a fan of BlueSeas at this point, but instead of the contura switches, you may want to try something out of their WeatherDeck line. They are rated for light immersion and really tougher than they look.
Mine does not face forward, but it routinely faces the hose and the pressure washer (not full on, of course). I've even seen them installed improperly with water standing in them, with no ill effect.

Re: What kind of switches for lights?
Was not really looking for a switch panel which the Blue sea weatherdeck's seem to be. May have to go that route though. I will look into the amarine switches. Any other suggestions? Thanks again!

Get to know an ET in the oil field and get you one of those bad ass switches that hold up to the abuse of a Frac operator hands!
