 Re: DOVE????
Sear it in a pan. Boil it for 30 minutes. Pull the meat off the bone and make tacos with it.
Or make a rice and gravy

 Re: DOVE????
Use a throw away foil pan, your favorite bbq sauce as a marinade, & cook on pit.

 Re: DOVE????
I remember when I was a kid my mom cooked some dove we had killed on the river. It was an experimental recipe she had never tried that called for some kind of wine in it. Not sure what happened but it was the most awful smelling shit. Stunk up the whole house and it wasn't even done yet. Me and dad hauled ass and went to town and got some burgers Tapatalk 2

 Re: DOVE????
I still prefer them on the grill, but my Mother used to brown them in bacon grease then slow simmer in chicken gravy and serve over rice or creamed potatos.
If you are really tired of the taste, you can roll them in French's mustard then bread them in House Autry Chicken breader and deep fry them. It doesn't do them justice, but it is a change.

 Re: DOVE????
I like to make a bowl out of aluminum foil, line with dove still on the bone, cover in bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and Tony's. Cover as tight as you can with foil and grill. A half stick of butter never hurt anything either!

 Re: DOVE????
Cheesy Dove Casserole
~ 10 - 12 dove breasts ~ 1 can cream of mushroom soup ~ 1 cup evaporated milk or cream ~ 1 can 8 oz. mushrooms ~ 3 cups cooked wild rice ~ 1/4 tsp. garlic salt ~ 1/4 tsp. celery salt ~ 1 package dry onion soup mix ~ 1 cup shredded cheese
Mix mushroom soup, milk/cream, mushrooms, rice, garlic salt and celery salt in large casserole dish.
Arrange dove breasts over the top of the mixture. Sprinkle onion soup over the top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Uncover, sprinkle with cheese, and continue baking for approximately 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
