Looking for a service center that number one: will work on marine engines, and number two: are trained to work on the new EFI motor. Prodrive has not been much help, supposedly are looking for a service center, which I have already done, and I am waiting on a call back from vanguard. The tech at Briggs told me that there are to many motors out there and not enough qualified service centers. Motor quit with 7.5 hours.

Where are you located? Texas is a pretty large place

Aston Martin has more service centers in the US than Gator Tail and Prodrive combined.

5000 Aston Martin's produced yearly. How many gator tails and prodrives? And what is the overhead for training service centers vs the profit margin? Methinks there's a lot more money available for Aston martin, as well as incentive to keep customers happy so they return. In spite of all your brand loyalty, enough of us mud motor people willingly switch brands back and forth and do the work ourselves that it's not cost effective for them to have a huge service network. Plus, they pick and choose who they want to keep happy. Buy a used motor and try to get a question answered. Watch what happens. There's at least one of the manufacturers that doesn't seem as willing to help if you didn't buy new from them when you request assistance.

Crosby lawn and power Inc. That's where the briggs guy sent me. Shouldn't be to far from you. Mine threw push rod and bent it, not saying this is your issue but there was a new pd there other than mine with 10 hrs same issue. Had me out and running in 3 weeks all I had to pay for was the oil change. They really know their shit seemed like.

You may have been "treated" well.... But 3 weeks for a bent pushrod??? That's too long for a 10min fix.

You had a bent pushrod and they did an oil change? Something was wrong that they neglected to tell you with a 3 week time frame and that oil change that they charged you for. A bent pushrod is 4 bolts, a jam nut and adjuster, swap the pushrod, then put it all back on. It's good they got you back going, and treated you well. If they were so backed up it took them three weeks to check it and change it, then that's a different story, but still a long time for that kind of issue.

I told them that the oil smelt like gas when i pulled the valve cover off. So they Did a leak down test, said it was unacceptable, So they then had my heads machined, valves cut and seated.

It took them 2 weeks to pull a motor apart for me and tell me it was a broke rod and the cylinder was destroyed.. Then they gave me 2 options. $20 cash and take the motor home or $2000 and drop a new block on it.

Getting it taken care of......apparently the bracket that hold the relays broke and pulled wires and shorted, Briggs has a "new" bracket design two bolts instead of one. Replacing bracket and wiring harness, because it had some burn marks on it from the short. Parts were ordered on Tuesday, and hopefully will be back up and going on Friday.
