 Clutch plate swap? Just got a used mud buddy hd sport and the keyway on the clutch appears to be broken off. I saw bps has an electric clutch plate but I don't know how to remove the old one? I've posted pictures of mine and then the replacement one from bps.

Re: Clutch plate swap? Should just pull apart after the bushing in the middle is pressed out. I used and hammer and a punch to push it out.

Re: Clutch plate swap? Just replace the entire clutch basket, once the magnet is off the crank slip the old one off and slip the new one on the crank, and then the magnet and retorque the crankshaft bolt.

Re: Clutch plate swap? Same exact thing happened to my motor...mounting bolt loosened and I guess everything vibrated enough to break plate at the flange/keyway and ruin magnet. Install is what Maxxis85 said.

Re: Clutch plate swap? I meant just replace the clutch basket only. As long as the magnet isn't shorted (looks like the above pic) it's fine. the front of the basket is where the armature grabs so it will be rough somewhat.
