Re: What kind of speed you get out of your LT???
A hooked boat vs clean boat can make that difference.

Re: What kind of speed you get out of your LT???
18 or 19 mph with 25 gdlt on a 1644 gd boat (no hooks) with only me 215 lbs gas and battery. 19 might even be stretching it. 2 people with hunting load i get about 15-16.

Re: What kind of speed you get out of your LT???
Dont get me wrong, when I move up to a surface drive in a year or two, my longtail will be staying to. For some places they are amazing, but I been running one to long for someone to tell me some bs speed. If 19 in a 6.5 long tail was possible, then why would people need surface drives.

Re: What kind of speed you get out of your LT???
I'm running a MB 35 Lt on an F&F 16/52 1/8 hull at around 26-29 depending on the water depth.

I have seen some custom small long tails like modded up to the point of death run in the higher teens but these are almost factor longtails they are talkin about here.

Re: What kind of speed you get out of your LT???
That is what you get when you cant afford a universal joint, 12 feet of shaft behind a boat. And not 18mph.
