Post Stripped Zerk Fitting on PD
My grease fitting that is behind the metal plug came out. It seems like the threads in the LU housing are stripped. I'm trying a JB Weld option now but I don't have much confidence in it. How would I go about fixing this and does anyone know what the original size of the fitting is?

easy fix, drill out the hole bigger and rethread. They make all kinds of sizes of zerts. You can get all of this at any local hardware store. Get the bigger zert with larger size first, then get the tap to match threads and then get the drill bit to match the tap. Very easy. I wouldn't JB weld that bitch, take chance of falling off due to high vibration.

When drilling and tapping dip the end of the drill bit in some grease and also the end of your Tap, helps keep metal shavings from dropping down into your housing.

Also use the right size drill bit
