 not what i was hoping for.
Me and the wife went out today in the bayou to run the boat before tmrws ride and i was not impressed at all. Went from holding 30 by myself to 26. And 24 with me and the wife. I dont like it at all. Any suggestions? I had an empty 35 quart k2 as a seat and a crankin battery in the back, 6 gallons of fuel, small tool box, trollin motor, and life jackets.

Re: not what i was hoping for. No wasnt boggin down. Held 3660, seemed to be what was working for it. Its in the stock hole. Whichever that one is. Motors brand new, has 45 minutes on it. And slingin a 2 blade.

Re: not what i was hoping for. Rpms are too low. Check WOT in neutral and make sure you are getting 4350 or 4750 depending on your coils.

Re: not what i was hoping for. Well Kaleb that's about what mine ran today with 2 people and a I've chest. Anywhere from 26-28. But I think my boat is a little heavier too. Don't see you adding a couple of pounds to it and it dropping 4 mph!

Re: not what i was hoping for. Your throttle cable could have slipped in the clamp as well, and you aren't getting full throttle. Check those 2 easy things first. You should be turning 4000 rpm at least.

Re: not what i was hoping for. Mine did the same thing. Adjust the governor and you'll be good to go. Also while the screw driver is in your hand adjust idle if you need to.

Re: not what i was hoping for. The journey has begun. Custom design not road tested. Did you build it to specs of known proven hull or is this your own hull design? If not engine issue you may be experiencing new hull design syndrome. Hope it's only engine issue.
