 Battery Up Front
For those of you running a battery under the front deck, are you using a remote terminal post in the back or are you running straight to the motor?
I'm looking for a terminal I can use that looks safe and makes sense and can't find one. Let me know if any of you have something that works. Thanks!

 Re: Battery Up Front
Also could use a single post just like the one pictured for the ground and a battery switch for the positive.

 Re: Battery Up Front
whats your reasoning?
You will have to run a larger wire to not overheat.

 Re: Battery Up Front
I just want the majority of weight up front. Big cable is not a problem. I'm actually most concerned with the battery being located near the tank, but will make sure there's nothing dangerous

^this. And make sure your battery connections are tightened with a wrench. Loose connection can sometimes spark.

 Re: Battery Up Front
Do you know if I would have to run a separate cable for the ground wire all the way back as well? Or could I locally ground that remote terminal?
Electricity can be perplexing sometimes.

Run your hot and ground all the way to the back.

 Re: Battery Up Front
Thank you! 3 bucks a foot on an 18 foot boat won't be cheap but will be worth it for getting on plane (I have a longtail)

 Re: Battery Up Front
2 Ga will be more than enough. This is what I did with mine. You can find these on amazon and make hooking and unhooking accessories a breeze. Put a pair up front to hook your batteries, long cables, and accessories into it, and another pair astern to hook any other accessories (charger) and motor up. http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Sea-Systems- ... ystems+150Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

 Re: Battery Up Front
Try a car stereo shop for a distribution block.
