 Outboard Lower Unit Fluid Not a mud motor but I figure you guys will know. Recently bought a 2000 135hp optimax. What is the best lower unit fluid to run? Thanks for the help.

Re: Outboard Lower Unit Fluid It's just gear oil. Go to Wal-Mart and get some rotella 80-90 gear oil.

Re: Outboard Lower Unit Fluid go to walmart in the marine section..they have quicksilver gear oil with the pump made for lower units....i have few laying around my shop...i find that works the best...

Re: Outboard Lower Unit Fluid That rotella is probably just as good or better and cheaper. And pump from the bottom till it cones out the top. Like BB said.
